Where did October go?

Sitting here, I’m wondering where the months have managed to go. I feel like I’ve been busy but haven’t gotten anything accomplished. Anyone else?

Of course, the final installment of the Remember You stories will be out on November 10th. I’m pretty excited for everyone to get to read the finale and I hope you’ve loved Rose and William as much as I have.

The first story was actually inspired by a post on social media that I saw that mentioned anything was possible at 3 am in a Waffle House. From there, my mind wandered and the first story in the series practically flowed from my fingers. I hadn’t intended on writing anything but the first when it was complete. Actually, it took me a while to get myself to release such a short story. But then I realized there are other people out there that don’t want incredibly long books. Some actually prefer the shorter ones. While I know my normal books aren’t incredibly long either, I feel like you don’t get shorted on story. With these, I wanted the reader to be able to fill in some of the blanks on their own. I don’t mention features and things like that as often because I want them to seem real to you. Whatever race, eye color, or hair color works for you, fill it in. I want you to focus on the story itself.

Speaking of books, I’m working on the next book in the Miranda Riley series. This one will be from Jack’s perspective. (If you haven’t read the last book “The Longest Night” yet, I won’t spoil it for you.) To get into Jack’s mind, I have found myself listening to 80s hair band music. I’ve even created a playlist that I imagine him listening to when he’s on his road trip. It’s really been helping me get into his character more, which I love. He’s one of my favorites. Maybe it’s because I see him as Dean Winchester in a world where he didn’t grow up with hunter parents. (Yes, I’m a huge Supernatural fan)

I’m hoping to get everything written and ready to publish it before the end of the year. After that, I’m not entirely sure. Should I write the next book of The Midwest Mermaid? The next in the Ghost Town series? Or maybe something else entirely? If you have a preference, feel free to reach out and let me know!

I guess that will be it for now. I hope you all are staying warm out there, it’s been getting chilly here in Kansas. Winter is unfortunately on its way.
